Ureteral Stent Placement

The ureter is the tube that carries urine from each kidney to the bladder. If a ureter becomes narrowed or blocked, a stent (a thin, flexible tube) may be placed within it to hold it open and allow urine to flow through to the bladder.

At any of our 10 Houston-area partner locations, ureteral stents can be placed by one of Synergy Vascular and Interventional’s radiologists using X-ray guidance to guide the stent precisely into position, where it can stay in place for several weeks, up to a few months. If longer durations are required, the stent will need replacing after a period of time.

For your ureteral stent placement, call Synergy Vascular and Interventional at (713) 621-7436. We partner with 10 Houston-area hospitals and outpatient imaging centers in Pearland, Humble, Webster, Katy, Cypress, and The Woodlands, Texas.
